In my home state of Hawaii, many people choose to live here because they love the water. It’s a water centric kind of place where water activities can be easily indulged all year long. You are in direct contact with your iPhone screen with the Nuud. It doesn’t matter that your hands are wet, nor that you might drop it in the pool.

Talking on Your iPhone with the LifeProof Nuud Case Both the Fre and Nuud come with a screw-in adapter for your headphones. The adapter has an integrated gasket that ensures a very solid waterproof connection to the case. If you plan on using headphones extensively in proximity to water, you should consider purchasing third-party water-resistant headphones.
People were complaining that they could not hear me when I used my headphones before I started using the adapter. I was using the standard iPhone white headphones. I was about to test different headphones when I realized I should just use the adapter. What I realized from using the adapter was that when I wasn’t using the adapter, I just wasn’t being careful to make sure that the headphone jack was fully seated. The adapter guarantees that so it is simply easier to seat firmly.
The adapter also completes a waterproof connection to your phone. I tested FaceTime video conferencing using the speakerphone. Even though I was out on the beach and did not have access to wifi, it worked fine. LifeProof headphone adapter connector detail The New Tether for the LifeProof Headphone Jack Cover When the Nuud was introduced, it came with a tether for the headphone jack cover (as you see in the adapter photo just above). Backup your device’s data regularly. After major impacts: Inspect for damage and ensure case, ports and covers are sealed. In the past, LifeProof has advised that you really don’t want to be constantly taking your case on and off because the closure is very precise. However, is two years old and applies to a prior generation of cases. LifeProof has not included this warning on the latest model cases introduced summer 2013. Do keep in mind that if you are taking the case on and off, you should make sure that the seals are clean when you reinstall the case, and if you are putting the case on to take it out into the water, then you should water test the case first. On the popular Wirecutter review site, they proclaimed the LifeProof Nuud “the best waterproof iPhone case.” One of the comments accused the writer of writing a bogus review saying he had seen so many bad reviews on Amazon and Apple. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY WILL BE INTERPRETED UNDER THE LAWS OR REGULATIONS THAT APPLY TO THE END USER IN ANY STATE, PROVINCE OR COUNTRY AND ANY PROVISION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY THAT CONFLICTS WITH ANY SUCH END USER RIGHTS OR BENEFITS IS NOT APPLICABLE TO END USERS COVERED BY SUCH LAW OR REGULATION, SO THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS SET OUT IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY MAY NOT APPLY, OR MAY NOT FULLY APPLY, TO YOU.
Sole and Exclusive Remedy Your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach by LifeProof of this Limited Warranty, and LifeProof's sole and entire liability for such breach, is, at LifeProof's option, to repair or replace the defective LifeProof product or, if the warranty claim is submitted during the first thirty (30) calendar days of the Warranty Period, refund the purchase price of the defective LifeProof product. Repair or replacement of the applicable LifeProof product (including parts and labor as well as re-shipping costs) shall be made at LifeProof's expense. LifeProof reserves the right to send you a replacement LifeProof product that is the same or of a similar style to the LifeProof product you returned under the Limited Warranty or a substitute equivalent to your original LifeProof product that may not be of like kind (depending on availability).
Replacement LifeProof products will be furnished only on an exchange basis. Replacement or repaired LifeProof products are warranted as above only for the remainder of the original applicable Warranty Period. Series. Case color. Your order number (if known). Purchase date. Front serial number. Back serial number. Description All of the above information is required before a warranty claim will be accepted.
Once a claim is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with an incident number. You will need to LifeProof a picture of your damaged case along with a handwritten note containing your name, the date and the serial number. Once we receive this information we will process your claim.
